Snow Removal: expectations of contracted services and updates.

In preparation for the winter weather forecasted this upcoming weekend CMA, the Springhurst master board, and the Condominium board have been in communication with Lawn Groomers regarding expectations related to contracted services. Lawn Groomers is contracted for the following services:

Townhomes: clearing of driveways & walkways when snow reaches 4” and continuous.

Rowhomes: clearing of driveways, walkways, & alleyways when snow reaches 4” and continuous.

Condos: clearing of parking lot & walkways when snow reaches 2” and continuous.  **Please note there are ice melt buckets at each entry way to use at your discretion**

** Chemical applications are considered based on the weather conditions and recommendations of the professional vendor

**The streets and sidewalks are the responsibility of the City of O’Fallon.  O’Fallon does not remove snow from sidewalks.

Please keep in mind the Springhurst board members live onsite and are monitoring the conditions and communicating with both the Lawn Groomers and CMA throughout these storms.  Safety is the first priority. Snow removal crews are dispatched once snow fall has ceased.  Crews arrive to our property as quickly as possible.  In extreme conditions it may take a couple of days for all of Springhurst to be completed as there are many neighborhoods in the Springhurst community that must be cleared.  When weather reaches blizzard conditions (6” or more) Lawn Groomers will complete one pass through the neighborhood. The focus is roadways and then alleyways, driveways, and walkways.  When trashcans are stored or cars are parked in driveways or alleyways it is difficult for Lawn Groomers to come through and clear these areas. Please keep alleyways free and clear of cars and trashcans.

While association living offers low maintenance living it is not maintenance free.  There are times, especially in extreme circumstances such as a blizzard, where owners may have to maintain their own units until association services can arrive.  Snow removal is not performed on a flat fee basis, it is performed on a time and material basis and can be very costly, the board does not take this factor lightly.
