According to the National Fire Protection Association thousands of home clothes dryer fires are reported each year as a result of lint build up. While lint builds up in the lint trap, over time, it also builds up in the dryer vent and duct-work. In addition to being a fire hazard it also reduces air flow and drying efficiency. It can also cause an increase in humidity levels leading to mildew and mold development. While dryer vents are an owner responsibility the association encourages annual cleaning for the safety of all. The association has arranged with Pride Master a rate of $200 per unit to have your dryer vent cleaned out. If you are interested in this service, please call them directly at 636-532-0708 to schedule an appointment for cleaning. Please note, it is not required to use Pride Master should you have a vendor that is preferred to use for this service.
